NATIONAL CHAMPION CAPITAL CITY SEAHAWKS JOIN NAFL FOR FINAL SEASON

The National Advancement Football League (NAFL) proudly introduces the Capital City Seahawks as one of our 3A members for the 2027 season.

The Seahawks enter their fifteenth and final season of play and bring an impressive resume with them. Under the leadership of Head Coach and Team Owner James Crowell, the Seahawks have amassed 5 league championships, 6 Dirty Bowl victories, 8 National Bowl wins, 1 National Title. They hold a 6-2 record in the Sunshine Bowl (One of the main post season bowls in Florida), they are perfect in Dirty Bowls at 6-0. 7x they have finished their season ranked in the top 20 in the nation and 4x they have finished in the top 5.

Coach Crowell is also the commissioner of the MLF and is the Chief of Operations for the Sunshine Bowl. The Sunshine Bowl is one of the Premier Florida Bowls that crown a National Champion at the conclusion of the regular season.

Coach Crowell has been a part of this level for more than 20 years helping fulfil the dreams of thousands along the way.

The Seahawks roster will be made up of veteran leaders and a young group with tremendous upside. They are the defending 2026 Sunshine Bowl National Champions, so the expectation for success is sky high. The Seahawks will most certainly be in the hunt for the NAFL 3A title in 27.

"We are blessed to have the Capital City Seahawks Football on board with us. Coach Crowell has done an amazing job each and every year of putting a championship caliber team on the field and carrying himself as an absolute professional. Having him on board and his expertise helps lift the entire league. We are excited to have Coach and his Capital City Seahawks on board with us in our first year and their final year."-NAFL CEO Paul Pennington.
